On August 17, 2007, Sentinel Management Group, Inc. filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois (the "Court") under case number 07-14987.

On August 28, 2007, pursuant to approval of the Court, Frederick J. Grede was appointed as chapter 11 trustee (the "Trustee") and, on September 11, 2007 the Court authorized the Trustee to retain Jenner & Block LLP as his counsel. On September 27, 2007 a Committee of Unsecured Creditors (the "Creditors' Committee") was appointed by the Office of the United States Trustee. The Creditors' Committee selected the law firms of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges LLP and DLA Piper US LLP as committee counsel. On November 6, 2008, The Garden City Group, Inc. was retained as the official information agent for the Creditors' Committee.

On December 15, 2008, the Court entered an order confirming the plan (the "Plan") filed by the Trustee and the Creditors' Committee.
