On January 19, 2009, The Star Tribune Company and Star Tribune Holdings Corporation (together, "Star Tribune") filed voluntary petitions for reorganization under chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York (the "Court"). The Star Tribune's cases were jointly administered under case number 09-10244 (RDD).

On September 8, 2009, Star Tribune filed their Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code (the "Plan"). On September 17, 2009, the Court entered an order confirming the Plan (the "Confirmation Order"), and on September 28, 2009, the "Effective Date" under the Plan occurred. On July 19, 2011, the Court entered an order granting a final decree closing the Star Tribune's cases (the "Final Decree").
